British YouTuber Marina Joyce has been reported missing for 10 days now.
She was last seen at her London home on July 31, and now police have confirmed that an active investigation into her whereabouts is underway.
Strangely enough, Joyce’s boyfriend Brandon Mehmed said that she was “safe and sound” in an overnight Instagram post, but London police told Radio 1 Newsbeat that she is still considered missing.
Her disappearance led the hashtag #SaveMarinaJoyce to trend–for a second time. In 2016, the 22-year-old’s behavior on her YouTube channel alarmed her fans so much so that they prompted a wellness check to be conducted on her.
In one YouTube video from 2016, titled “DATE NIGHT OUTFITS,” fans claimed that she was whispering the words “help me” throughout. They also said they could see bruises on her arm in some of her other videos. Fans said she looked as if she was being forced to do these videos, some believed this involved her being kidnapped. The original video has since been removed, but there are accounts that have reposted it since.
Joyce responded to the outlandish claims in a video, titled “SAVING MARINA JOYCE,” a year later. She said she “did suffer from depression,” which she attributed her behavior to in the videos.
“It was so bad,” Joyce explained in the video. “It hurts me to this day to think of all the reckless things I did that showed that I did not care about my life. Things that I would look back upon and feel so grateful that I am still alive. I lived in isolation of what happened to me, of people not understanding what I was truly going through.”
She later thanked her fans for their concerns and said the #SaveMarinaJoyce may have done just that.
Three years later and now fans are back to the virtual drawing boards, trying to figure out where she might be–and in true 2019 fashion, they are using memes to do it.

Others are furious that people seem to be making light of the situation.
the memes about marina Joyce are disgusting, she was reported missing by her family... who gives a shit if her “boyfriend” claims she’s safe. If she’s filed as a missing person she’s a missing person until authorities say otherwise

and yea, lots of people are making memes about it... because last time we all went nuts over her and it turned out to be nothing...
but this is a real case and she is really missing... spread the word but don't do it as a joke...
It's sad to see everyone posting memes about Marina Joyce. Really shows how immature people are about mental health. #findMarinaJoyce
