KIERAN TIERNEY has been captured on his first day at Arsenal training along with Hector Bellerin, with the pair returning from injury.
The Gunners signed left-back Tierney for £25million from Celtic on transfer deadline day, but a double hernia operation has ruled out the Scot for the start of the campaign.
Upon his first training session fellow full-back Bellerin, who missed the last six months of last season through a cruciate ligament rupture, welcomed the new Arsenal defender.
But Bellerin warned: “It’s Arsenal brother, the camera’s follow you everywhere.”
The Spanish right-back even boasted about his left foot, after being accused of trying to take Tierney’s No3 jersey.
Bellerin was later captured on Arsenal’s Instagram practising on his weaker foot.
The defender was likened to former Gunner and fellow Spaniard Santi Cazorla – who was equally as strong on both feet.
Tierney is ruled out for up to six weeks with the Gunners hoping to introduce the defender to full training half way through that period.
The £25m signing revealed he was practising down the park with his friends when he found out his move to Arsenal was given the greenlight.
Trierney said: “I got told at seven o’clock that I had to be at the airport in an hour, so I had to go quickly.
“I was actually down the park with my friends training. They play with their local team so I was down watching them and I got a phone call that I needed to go.
“I got to the airport and the flight was delayed two-and-a-half hours, with another hour’s drive for a hotel and I probably got zero sleep.”
