Milo Ventimiglia is addressing Warner Bros. studios telling him he’s “too old” for the role of Batman!
While making an appearance on SiriusXM’s the Morning Mash Up on SiriusXM Hits 1 on Tuesday (August 6), the 42-year-old This Is Us star discussed the recent revelation.
“Physical age, yes. Maybe looked a little different… but at the same time, there’s plenty of roles out there,” Milo expressed. “I like being the attainable superhero. Like in this movie, The Art of Racing in the Rain, he’s the attainable superhero. Like Jack Pearson in This Is Us, he’s the attainable superhero. I don’t need a cape.”
It was announced in early June that Robert Pattinson was chosen to play Batman, and that director Matt Reeves is planning a trilogy of films.
“As cool as that could’ve been, because every boy wants to be Batman, it’s okay. Robert is an amazing actor, I’m super excited for him,” Milo Ventimiglia continued. “I think I’ve always wanted to be Batman and when there was an opportunity I kind of shut my mouth for awhile and then I kind of said to my reps, ‘can you go ask and inquire and check with that. They said, ‘Milo you are too old.’”
