Terrifying moment driver runs for his life as carjacking thieves box him in and steal car in suburban street
SHOCKING video shows a driver run for his life after he was boxed in and carjacked in a suburban street.
CCTV footage shows two thieves chase a man out of his car after they blocked the road ahead.
The victim was unable to reverse because another car stopped behind although it is not known whether the driver was involved in the crime.
The incident is believed to have happened on Church Manor Way in Plumstead, south-east London on July 29 at around 9.50pm.
The CCTV footage was uploaded to Facebook by Daniel Corpadean on Sunday saying: “This was sent to me by a friend.
“Carjacking in Plumstead, London, don’t know the owner, just please beware!”
The video shows a dark car driving slowly down the residential street before coming to a stop.
CARJACK TERROR
A white car then drives down the same stretch of road followed swiftly by another car.
The other security camera reveals the first car spread across the middle of the road, whilst the other vehicle blocks in the white car.
A man gets out of the passenger seat of the blockading car and walks towards the white car.
Another man appears some time later and runs towards the driver’s window and appears to strike it with an object.
The driver eventually gets out of the car and sprints away from the carjackers who commandeer his white car.
The vehicle parked behind the white car does try to reverse after witnessing the incident, and instead continues to drive down the road once the carjackers leave with their prize.
The video has angered some people who commented on it.
Umar Malik said: “Should have ran the b******* over.”
Adel Ramos added: “Madness.”

It comes just days after two carjacking thieves attempted to steal a watch from Arsenal footballer Mesut Özil in the Golder’s Green area of north London.
Özil and teammate Sead Kolašinac were ambushed by the crooks who were armed with knives.
Kolašinac fought off the attackers as they gave chase to Özil who was in his Mercedes.
