They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder — and that certainly pertains to art collections. Often when I walk into a new client's home, I wonder about some of the art they have collected, especially if it seems out of place in terms of the esthetic of the home. But once I hear the story of how that piece came to have pride of place, I develop a greater appreciation for it, as it often evokes memories, adventures and meaningful stories for my clients.
