Brighton Pride parade start time and route – who is going to be there?
Brighton Pride celebrations kick off today and offer a long weekend of big and bright entertainment.
The festivities include a number of music events and fun activities, including Pride in the Park, LoveBN1Fest and Village Party.
Here’s what you need to know about Brighton Pride 2019.
What time does Brighton Pride start and what route will it take?
Brighton Pride will take a new route this year due to road and landscaping works.
The parade will begin on Saturday at 11am along the seafront at Hove Lawns. It will continue easterly along Kings Road before turning left up West Street.
It will then pass the clock tower up Queens Road and turn right down North Road.
Once there, there parade will turn left and re-join the old route to follow up Gloucester Place and London Road and end in Preston Park.
Who will perform at Brighton Pride?
Pride in the Park is the first to take place on Saturday 3 August in Preston Park.
There’ll be eight different stages offering up an eclectic mix of music with Kylie, Clean Bandit, Bjorn Again and Fleur East among those performing.
LoveBN1Fest – which takes place the following day in Preston Park – will be headlined by Jessie J and Grace Jones.
The festivals will also have family friendly entertainment, performance artists, cabaret, a wellbeing area and food.
