Wrestling icon Undertaker signs ‘contract for life’ with Vince McMahon’s WWE

THE UNDERTAKER has reportedly agreed a “contract for life” with WWE owner Vince McMahon.

News emerged in April that the legendary wrestler had signed a new big-money deal with the company.

Few details have been revealed about the package, although it was widely-reported he could no longer work non-WWE events after he had signed-up for several.

That led to the Dead Man pulling out of an appearance at the Starrcast II convention in May, held on the same weekend as rival promotion AEW’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view.

Now, according to Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, it has emerged the 54-year-old icon has penned a “lifetime contract” that ties him exclusively to McMahon’s WWE.

And even though the seven-time world champion is coming towards the end of his career, that will end any doubts of him ever working for any rival wrestling companies.

Taker now only participates on a part-time basis but he produced a vintage display at last month’s Extreme Rules.

After a disaster match against Goldberg at Super ShowDown in June that resulted in his opponent suffering a concussion, the Phenom was keen to right that wrong.

And he made a stunning return to the ring alongside Roman Reigns to overcome Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre at the bash.

It remains unclear whether he will be making an appearance at next week’s SummerSlam extravaganza.

But rumours are already mounting that he has hand-picked McIntyre to be his opponent at WrestleMania on April 5, 2020 in Tampa.
