DEAR DEIDRE: HELP. I’m screaming inside to tell the world I am a woman trapped in a man’s body but my wife says she will leave me and take our kids with her if I do.

We have two boys aged 12 and ten, and have been married for 15 years. I am 44 and she’s 42.

I kept my feelings to myself for years but can’t deny them any longer. The strain is too much.

My wife called me a freak when I told her.

How can I get through to her? I am living a double life.
