Why is Netflix cancelling 13 Reasons Why after season four?
NETFLIX has officially announced that 13 Reasons Why will conclude after its fourth series, leaving fans stunned since its third season hasn’t even premiered yet.
While there’s still plenty of episodes to come before we wave our goodbyes, here’s all the information you need to know about the fourth and final series… and when it’s returning.
Why has Netflix cancelled 13 Reasons Why?
A Netflix spokesperson told RadioTimes.com that the fourth series of 13 Reasons Why will be its last, stressing that the story will come to a “natural conclusion”.
It’s further explained that all of the core characters will be graduating from high school in season four, giving it all the more reason to end.
The first series of 13 Reasons Why became an instant hit on Netflix, before accumulating a record-breaking number of mentions on social media.
Producers of the show were constantly involved in some sort of controversy for the daring scenes the show conveyed throughout its run.
A scene showing Hannah Baker taking her own life saw a great number of mental health experts to complain, convinced that it would provoke a copycat effect.
Two years after the death, Netflix had agreed to remove the scene from the show, but the depiction of Chloe’s violent rape ordeal remained uncut.
It goes without saying, however, that the show also helped raise awareness to matters concerning bullying and self-harm.

Is there a trailer for season 3 and what can I expect?
Netflix released the trailer for 13 Reasons Why season three on August 1.
In just one day, the video clip had amassed a whopping number of 5 million views on YouTube.
The story will pick up eight months after the events that occurred at the end of season two, with the students of Liberty High still struggling to overcome the murder of Bryce Walker.
Judging by the trailer, it would seem everyone – alongside Clay Jensen – is a suspect.
