What to do if you have booked a holiday with Late Rooms or Super Break
Malvern Group, the company which incorporates both the Super Break and Late Rooms holiday firms, has collapsed and ceased trading.
This has left tens of thousands of hopeful holidaymakers at risk of missing out on their travel plans, but never fear – if you booked a holiday with either one of these holiday firms, here’s what you can do…

Malvern Group has said hotel-only holidays booked through Super Break would likely be cancelled.
Meanwhile the group ‘anticipated’ that Late Rooms bookings would still stand since that firm didn’t take payments directly – instead making bookings directly with the hotels.
The group also said anyone on a Super Break package holiday would be covered by the Abta travel association, however tickets for various attractions and entertainment are now no longer valid, as is the case with gift vouchers.
Abta said in a statement: ‘If you booked directly with Late Rooms, customers are advised to contact the hotel as we understand that payments were made directly to the hotels and therefore bookings should go ahead as planned.’

When it comes to Super Break, Abta added that most of the holidays will be covered through either Atol, Abta or through your credit card companies, saying ‘These customers will either be entitled to a refund or, if they’ve booked through another travel company, they should contact them to discuss options which may include continuing with their booking, re-booking or alternative arrangements.’
If you paid for your holiday through your debit or credit card, you should contact your provider because they may be able to secure a refund for you.
Any credit card bookings which cost from £100-£30,000) are protected under the consumer credit act, and any money paid for bookings via debit card can be recovered using charge back.
You might be asked to give your provider a referral letter from Abta – there’s one you can download for credit card payments and one for debit card payments.
