MARRIED Rangers star Alfredo Morelos is at the centre of a “cheating” storm after he was filmed kissing a Colombian beauty queen.
Stunner Marian Cardenas claims she began a relationship with the Ibrox hero, 23, after he contacted her online last year – but insists she had no idea the striker was already hitched.
The mum of two decided to speak out after a video of their kiss was leaked online, sparking outrage in their homeland.
She said: “I found out that he was married after the video came out.”
Marian told Colombian radio station Radio Online of her alleged fling with Morelos – nicknamed El Bufalo.
She says she met the Ibrox hero after he contacted her on social media – but not from his official account.
She added: “It first started as a friendship and then became a relationship.
The Colombian beauty – who shares sexy snaps with her 114,000 Instagram followers – insists she thought he was single and only discovered the truth when a video of the pair smooching was published on the internet.
She explained: “I didn’t know he was married.
“We always blame the women, saying that she should have known but sometimes we are too innocent.
“I never asked because he was so natural and nice with me, it never came to my mind.
“I found out that he was married after the video came out.”
Morelos wed sweetheart Yesenia in a lavish ceremony three years ago.
His devoted wife moved to Glasgow with him after he signed for Rangers in 2017.
And she threw him a huge party for his 23rd birthday last month – sharing pictures of them kissing at the bash.
Despite the scandal, Marian insists she has not ill will towards the footie star who she reckons is a “brilliant player”.
She said: “I am a woman that makes mistakes, and this has been a slap on the face that has helped me to be more careful.
“I am a working woman not a husband-taker – I am not what people believe.
“To Alfredo, I would say he is a brilliant player. I hope you keep doing what you love. God bless you and fight for that dream of yours.”
Morelos’ goal-scoring exploits for Gers have triggered speculation about a big money move – with Ibrox chiefs understood to have placed a minimum £20million price tag on the Colombian.
Boss Steven Gerrard this week urged the goal-hungry star to confirm he wants to stay at Rangers after reported interest from AC Milan, Eintracht Frankfurt, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.
Morelos – who has earned a reputation as a hothead thanks to five red cards – penned a new deal last March and is under contract until 2023.
Addressing the recent speculation, Gerrard, 39, said: “Alfredo is a huge part of what we are trying to do here.”
Rangers were approached for comment.
