GARETH Gates today shared a rare photo of daughter Missy, 8, after vowing to keep her off social media.
The singer, 35, has previously spoken about keeping his daughter away from the spotlight, but today couldn’t resist sharing an adorable snap.
In the picture the pair can be seen up close and looking into the distance.
The Pop Idol star wrote next to the picture: “I rarely share pictures of my daughter. I never like exposing too much of her, I think it should be her choice when she’s a little older.
“BUT – I had to share this. I can’t believe how beautiful she is. I love you Missy moo. You’re my world. #nofilter #daddydaughter.”
Gareth shares Missy with ex-wife Suzanne.
The former couple were together for ten years but split in 2011.
When they broke up he said in a statement: “Despite our efforts over the past three years to make our marriage work, sadly Suzanne and I have decided to separate.
“Whilst we have grown apart, we love and cherish our wonderful daughter Missy and together we will prioritise her happy upbringing.”
Gareth has shared a couple of pictures of Missy in the past.
In one snap he is holding her hand and wrote sweetly next to it: “And now for the best part of my day”
In another one, the two of them are with his current love, fiancée Faye Brookes and he wrote: “Me and my girls in Manchester @faye_brookes”
Meanwhile, Gareth and Faye are getting ready to get married after he proposed last New Year’s Eve.
Speaking about the engagement to OK! magazine Faye said: “We were both crying the whole way through. Once it was finished, Gareth got down on one knee and said, ‘Will you spend the rest of your life with me?’ And of course I said yes straight away.

“It’s every girl’s dream to find the perfect man for her and then have the perfect engagement, so I feel very lucky.
“To have such a beautiful ring and to share the most brilliant life with my best friend is everything I’ve ever wanted. He could have but any ring on my finger and I would have said yes.”
Gareth and Faye’s engagement came after a brief split last September, but after a few weeks apart they reconciled.
