We’ve picked out a few snippets you may have missed from around the tracks on a red-hot afternoon.
A horse to keep on side
David Menuisier remains under-rated in the training ranks and his Atalanta’s Bay looks another horse he has brought along nicely.
He’s taken his time to show up on the track, but he is now two from three in handicaps and tore apart a field of seasoned handicappers in the 5.45 at Doncaster.
While he won’t be winning the Nunthorpe, he swatted aside the now in-form Ninjago here and he looks sure to keep improving.
He’ll go up a few pounds for this but is firmly on the up and certainly one step ahead of the handicapper. Keep him in your good books.

The ride of the day
Is there a more improved jockey in the weighing room than young Cieren Fallon? Not in my book…
He was at his best once again to drive home Confils in the 3.35 at Sandown. He showed the patience of a saint to allow those up top to kick on before he swooped up the rail.
Fallon is clearly listening to those around him and has even thrown his hat into the ring for the Apprentice title race. He was always going to be a name to watch with his family connections, but has shown he is one to watch of his own back. Keep up the good work.
An genuine Classic contender emerges
Aidan O’Brien has another good on his hands, a very good one. Armory looks a serious Guineas and Derby prospect on the back of his easy win at Leopardstown this evening.
Ryan Moore did nothing to quieten the big-race thoughts, labelling him a ‘very exciting colt.’
He’s bred in the purple and took this Group 3 on the bridle, eased down at five lengths. This race has been won by the likes of Anthony Van Dyck, Churchill and Gleneagles in recent years.
That’s some billing to live up to, but the future is bright for sure.
