Horrifying video footage shows the moment a piece of raw meat appears to crawl off a restaurant customer’s plate.
The pink piece of flesh began wiggling on the plate, before pulling itself off the side and tumbling onto the restaurant floor.
Its sudden, unexpected movement prompted a horrifying scream from a diner at the table of the Asian restaurant.
The clip was shared on Facebook by Rie Phillips, who lives in Florida, and has prompted widespread speculation about what it actually shows.
Some commenters have claimed the clip is fake, according to MailOnline, and that the meat was pulled away by a piece of string.
Others were less skeptical, and said the meat may have moved because it was so fresh, meaning its muscles were experiencing spasms.
One commenter claimed: ‘It was so fresh because some of the muscles are still firing off signals.’
Eric Bailly stretchered off with serious looking knee injury against TottenhamA third viewer queried whether the shape of the meat and way in which it moved meant that it was a recently-skinned frog.
Jodinna Bartlett wrote: ‘It’s most likely skinned live frog..its quite common in (I think) Asian countries like Japan … poor creatures.’
Food fan Rie shares multiple photos and videos of meals on her Facebook page, and it is unclear whether she shot the disturbing video herself, or decided to share it from another source.
