Two women ‘raped’ on Mallorca beach in separate attacks

A manhunt is underway after two young women said they were raped on a beach in Mallorca.

Police are searching for the suspects after the attacks on Saturday in the resort of Playa De Palma.

One victim is a German woman aged 20, while the other is described as ‘foreign’ but her age and nationality have not been released.

Police said one of the suspects spoke Spanish, according to local news site Diario De Mallorca.

The alleged rapes, which are reportedly unconnected, occurred in an area known as S’Arenal.

The German tourist told the police that she had met the man at midday and they had headed to the beach where he undressed and sexually assaulted her, according to reports.

The other victim said she was raped in the same area, but has declined to pursue a complaint according to police.

Both women were taken to the hospital of Son Llàtzer where they underwent examinations.
