Suspicious package evacuates Portland City Hall
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland City Hall is being evacuated for a suspicious package on Monday morning.
Portland Police say the Explosive Disposal Unit is on scene. Lt. Tina Jones said the situation was evolving but didn’t know who found the package or why it was deemed suspicious.
Some businesses in the area were also evacuated and nearby streets were blocked off.
Last week, a bomb threat was called into City Hall but the building was deemed safe within an hour.
