Randy Orton suffering from serious neck injury which could shorten WWE career
WWE legend Randy Orton is reportedly suffering with a neck problem that may shorten his illustrious career.
The Legend Killer is one of the best performers to ever set foot inside the squared-circle and remains one of the company’s biggest stars.
But the 39-year-old has not been seen on WWE television since battling Triple H at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia on June 7.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, the 13-time world champion has been struggling after an old neck problem resurfaced.
He explained: “A few years back his doctor told him he would need neck surgery which would have kept him out of action for a year, but later got a second opinion from another doctor who said he didn’t need the surgery.”
A number of iconic names ranging from Stone Cold Steve Austin to England’s very own Paige have been forced to retire through neck injuries.
Fortunately for the king of the RKO, his current situation has not been severe enough to rule him out of action.
And even though he was not appeared on screen, Orton has still been competing in the ring.
He worked at last weekend’s live events.
Wrestling News have also claimed The Viper is expected to be back on TV very soon.
And that could even be as early as tomorrow night on SmackDown to begin kicking off the hype for next month’s SummerSlam.

That suggests the superstar is managing the problem well.
However, given his age, any potential surgery required in the future would provide a huge challenge to come back from.
The WWE Universe will no doubt all be hoping that reports regarding the severity of his injury is not as bad as first feared.
