Jack Clarke reveals the one Spurs player he loves to watch
Tottenham Hotspur finally broke their transfer drought this morning when they signed Leeds United winger, Jack Clarke (Tottenham).
The Guardian reported earlier this week that the agreed deal was worth an initial £10m, with a potential £1.5m worth of add-ons to come later.
However, despite being the club’s first signing in a year and a half, Clarke will not feature for the Lilywhites next season, instead remaining at Leeds on loan for 2019/20 (Tottenham).
It has been deemed that this is the best move for the 18-year-old’s progression, as he played in 25 games for the club last season, scoring two and setting up two more.
It is unlikely that Clarke would have walked straight into the Spurs first team, or even as a regular addition from the bench, so a loan deal is mutually beneficial for all involved.
When it comes to Clarke’s favourite player to watch, it is no surprise that he has lumped for a winger.
He said (Football London): “I really like watching Heung-min Son, I think he’s a top, top player, both feet, so quick, dribbling, I love players that take players on, that’s what I like to do myself and he just does that with ease.
“I feel like I play with a lot of freedom and I just like taking players on and creating opportunities.
“It doesn’t bother me whether I’m playing at the park or in front of fans, I just play the same and I think that’s a good thing.”
