ENGLAND star Ellen White wrote her name into the record books with her World Cup semi-final strike against USA.
The Manchester City forward has been in electric form in front of goal for Phil Neville’s Lionesses throughout the tournament in France.
And the 30-year-old continued her red-hot streak with her sixth goal of the competition against the States.
However, her equaliser not only drew her country level it also earned her a little chunk of history.
White moved ahead into top spot in the race for Golden Boot as her close-range finish from Beth Mead’s cross took her tally to six.
But it also made her the first England player to ever score in five consecutive World Cup matches.
And even if she fails to hit the target again in France, she has also matched the achievements of both Harry Kane and Gary Lineker.
Both hitmen each bagged six for the Three Lions at the 2018 and 1986 tournaments respectively.
White opened her tally for the competition in the opening group game with a strike against Scotland.
She was rested for the victory over Argentina, but celebrated her return to the side with a brace against Japan.
The former Arsenal, Notts County and Birmingham forward continued that rich vein of form with a goal in the last-16 triumph over Cameroon.
And she added another to her collection against Norway on Thursday to set-up the semi showdown against the US.
