Police hunt woman who opened ice cream in shop, licked it, then put it back in freezer
Police are hunting a woman filmed opening a tub of ice cream in a shop, licking it, then returning it to the freezer.
The unidentified prankster was filmed by a pal pulling the top of a tub of Blue Bell Ice Cream in a quiet supermarket freezer aisle.
Her friend, who isn’t seen online, can be heard saying ‘Lick it! Lick it! Oh, you vile. Put it back.’
The woman does as she’s told, and gives a satisfied laugh as she walks away.
It is unclear where the disturbing clip was shot, with Blue Bell Creameries themselves now working with police to try and track the woman down.
She could face food tampering charges if caught.
The company also explained that it uses a special freezing process which sees cartons of ice cream turned upside down while they’re hardened up.

Blue Bell said: ‘We want to thank our consumers for alerting us to the recent food tampering incident.

‘This type of incident will not be tolerated.
‘Food safety is a top priority, and we work hard to provide a safe product and maintain the highest level of confidence from our consumers.’
