Coronation Street spoilers: Sinead Tinker given cancer all clear as Daniel Osborne asks her to legally marry him
LIFE is on the up for Sinead Tinker in Coronation Street next week when she’s told her tumour has shrunk and hasn’t spread.
Sinead – who’s played by Katie McGlynn in the ITV soap – is nervous ahead of her MRI scan as she and Daniel Osbourne sit in the waiting room.
She lays her cards on the table with Daniel and tells him he has to face up to the fact that she could die.
She’s then called in for her scan where the consultant gives her some good news. He tells her that her tumour has shrunk and there’s no evidence that it’s spread.
Sinead is delighted but she later confides in Daniel that – despite the good news – she’s still scared and is worried the cancer could return at any time.
Daniel becomes determined to take Sinead’s cancer worries away and surprises her with a holiday in the Scottish borders.
But with Sinead’s male grooming business really taking off, Daniel suggests that they postpone the holiday for a while.
Instead he gives her a beautiful locket before asking her to marry him again, telling her it’s time they tied the knot legally.
Sinead is delighted and they share a tender kiss. Corrie fans were left terrified that Sinead was going to die after it was announced actress Katie was quitting her role on the cobbles.
And at last month’s British Soap Awards, Rob Mallard who plays Daniel, revealed that his character wouldn’t be able to cope if he lost Sinead.

He said: “I don’t think he’d do well at all. I think he’s one of those people who thinks that there’s only one person out there for everyone and if you find it, then lose it, it’s gone.
“He’s very dramatic, isn’t he? He needs to give his head a wobble.”
