BLACK NEW DEAL: US Oil Hits 12 Million Barrels a Day High
Who needs a Green New Deal when there's black gold in the ground and it's creating jobs across the country. (Except in states like California which would rather have green energy and homeless people than cheap energy and jobs.)
The new monthly record of 12 million barrels of oil a day is being brought to you by the non-green states of Texas and Pennsylvania. If the Democrats hope to turn them blue this election, they might want to explain how they plan to create enough jobs making subsidized solar panels to compensate for all the black gold they want to turn off.
U.S. crude oil output in April rose to a fresh monthly record, surpassing 12 million barrels per day, according to a government report on Friday.
The United States produced 12.16 million bpd of crude in the month, up 246,000 bpd from a month earlier, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said in a monthly report.
The use of fracking technology in shale formations has boosted the U.S. to become the world’s largest crude producer.
Meanwhile environmentalists keep pressuring financial monopolies that they have to divest from black power because it's too dirty and carries reputational risks.
