The Ukrainian Central Elections Commission (CEC) must make a decision on the registration of parliamentary candidates for the July 21 early parliamentary elections or deny them registration by Tuesday, June 25, inclusively.
“No later than the fifth day from the date of receipt of candidates’ applications and the necessary documents attached to them,” the calendar plan of the early election attached to the Central Elections Commission’s Decree No.899 of May 24 says.
According to the calendar plan, the application deadline was Thursday, June 20. This expired at 0:00 on Friday and applied to candidates in the state constituency (by party lists) and in one-mandate constituencies.
The election lists of candidates and parties’ deputies in the state constituency are to be published in the newspapers Holos Ukrainy, Uriadovy Kurier, and the official website of the CEC, while reports of the registration of candidates in one-mandate constituencies are to be published in the regional or local media within three days from the candidates’ registration; that is, by Friday, June 28 inclusively. Decisions on candidates’ registration are published.
June 28 is the last day on which the CEC will issue to representatives of parties in an advisory capacity IDs certifying that they are candidates to posts of deputies and copies of decisions on the registration of candidates in a state constituency. If a person is registered as a candidate in a one-mandate constituency, he is to be issued in person a candidate’s ID along with a copy of the decision on his registration by June 28.
