Raptors announce preliminary Las Vegas NBA Summer League Schedule

The annual tournament in the desert kicks off on July 5, with all 30 teams showing up with rosters ready to show out. When are the Raptors playing? We’ve got the dates.

With the season done, the draft behind us, and the summer stretching on ahead, it’s time for the next thing on the NBA calendar. No, I’m not talking about the start of the free agency period (yet). Today, we’re here to report on Toronto’s plans for the Las Vegas Summer League.

Running from July 5 to 15th at the Thomas & Mack Centre and Cox Pavilion on the UNLV campus, the Summer League is 11 days of basketball featuring 83 games, all leading towards a title match on the last day of the tournament. Every team is set for at least five games, and up to as many as seven. There are also all kinds of other scrimmages and practices going on throughout the week.

July 11 - vs. Indiana - Indiana - Cox Pavilion - 6pm on NBA TV

Now, is it funny that Toronto’s first two games are against the last two franchises they beat on their way to the NBA championship? I’ll leave that for you to decide. Last year, Toronto only went 2-4 on a failed bid to get past the quarterfinals, but the winning spirit is in the air now with the Raptors, so we’ll see what happens.

In the meantime, start mentally preparing for a roster that should include Raptors 905 stalwarts Jordan Loyd, Chris Boucher, and Malcolm Miller, along with Toronto’s newest draft pick Dewan Hernandez, and two other names, Lindell Wigginton and Sagaba Konate, recently signed to join the squad in Vegas.
