Bride sacks make-up artist after finding out she’s gay
A MAKE-UP artist has shared the vile homophobic abuse she got from a bridezilla after revealing she was gay.
Kristian Cardenas, from Lubbock, Texas, was contacted by a bride-to-be enquiring about wedding make-up.
The message starts off fairly normally, with the woman asking about pricing, and Kristian beaks down her costs.
But then the bride says: “I have a few questions I was wondering if you could answer.”
Rather than being wedding or make-up related, she asks: “Are you gay?”
Kristian replied: “Yes ma’am I am.
“I’m sorry, but what does that have to do with your wedding or my services?”
The bridezilla says she “doesn’t want a gay person doing her wedding”, and that she couldn’t tell if Kristian was gay or not from her photos.
Refusing to be insulted, Kristian was the bigger person and simply told the woman it was fine, and to have a nice day.
But she didn’t let the issue drop, and continued messaging Kristian.
She said: “How can you be a Latina woman be gay? You do know being gay is a sin correct.
“I will pray for you my friend.
“I’m sorry that you’ve chosen a path that’s going to send you straight to hell.”
And the bride-to-be ended her vile comments by saying: “I think you do beautiful make-up but I just can’t have someone who’s gay being a part of my special day.”
But she added: “If you at any chance change your mind about being let me know please so I can book you.”
Kristian shared the rude chat on Twitter, where it’s since gone viral, being like more than 195,000 times.
She posted: “Openly sharing who I am with the world is my choice; a choice I will never apologize for.
“I love what I do and who I am. Today I was taken back a little bit.
“Homophobia is a real issue still in 2019.
“Please just be kind to everyone you meet.”
Her post has racked up hundreds of supportive comments, with people praising Kristian’s professionalism.
One person said: “WTF is wrong with that person?!?!?!? I can’t believe that just happened. But to be honest I’m not surprise!”
Someone else wrote: “I was just gunna say “change your mind” and get booked and then don’t show up lol just say you’ll take the payment when you get there so she can’t try to say you stole money or something.”
A third commented: “So lemme get this straight… she damned you to hell but then said she doesn’t want you in her church.”
And this person added: “I love how you were still polite even after the blatant discrimination, but then she continues to press.”
Kristian later updated her new followers with what happened with the nasty bride, confirming she blocked her.
She said: “I blocked her number, name and her friend’s name.
“I don’t want anyone to be hateful to her even though she was to me.”
