It can feel like one of the biggest decisions you’ll ever make as new parents: what to call your son or daughter.
Some people have a name picked out from the moment they discover they’re pregnant, while others wait weeks after the birth to decide.
Despite having three children already, the decision is clearly taking its toll on Peter Crouch and Abbie Clancy, who still don’t have a name for their baby, born on 4 June.
Crouch, 38, even joked that at the rate they’re going, the newborn may end up with the nickname they gave him at birth – ‘Divock Samrat’ – named after the footballer Divock Origi, and his favourite Indian restaurant, ‘Samrat’.

“He might get bullied if his name is Divock,” he said on the ‘That Peter Crouch’ podcast. “I had to actually come out and say his name isn’t actually Divock Samrat – that was a gag.”
But, he added: “To me Divock was a lovely name. Abs said to me: ‘You’ve got to tweet it, it’s brilliant.’”
Clancy, 33, has shared photos of her newborn son on her Instagram account.
In one, she simply wrote “The boy wonder”, presumably because the couple either haven’t decided on – or are yet to reveal – his official name.
But even when they do, we have a sneaky feeling the tot’s unusual nickname will stick around for a while, if his dad has anything to do with it.
“We were looking at him the other day, he’s so beautiful and innocent and Divock seemed like a good name,” he said. “I feel like it has sort of stuck a bit. Whatever we go for now is not going to live up to Divock Samrat!”
