Super Eagles of Nigeria were on Saturday, June 8, forced to a goalless draw by visiting Zimbabwe in an international friendly match played in Asaba, Delta state.
Captain of the Nigerian side Mikel Obi started the encounter and played till towards the end of the match before he was replaced by John Ogu.
Nigeria started the match impressively with the duo of Alex Iwobi and Mikel Obi dishing out superb passes in the midfield.
Samuel Chukwueze had the first chance to score for Nigeria after receiving fine pass from Ola Aina, but his shot went wide.

Etebo also provided a superb pass for defender Jamilu Collins, but Zimbabwe goalie came out to save his side from danger.
The first half however ended with both sides finding it difficult to find the back of the net.
Second half was much better for the Super Eagles of Nigeria with Henry Onyekuru and Ahmed Musa getting the chance, but they were unable to score.
It ended 0-0 between Nigeria and Zimbabwe in Asaba and the Super Eagles will play another friendly game with Senegal before the start of the 2019 Nations Cup in Egypt.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Nigerian international Musa set his sights on winning a second Africa Cup of Nation (AFCON) title with the Super Eagles when the tournament kick starts in Egypt.
Musa who recently signed an endorsement deal with electronic company Syinix Limited believes the Nigeria has what it takes to go far at AFCON 2019 tournament.
Speaking to journalists in Asaba ahead of the Super Eagles pre-AFCON friendly against Zimbabwe, Musa said Nigeria will be targeting to go really far at the tournament even as he was quick to note the squad has very good strikers aside himself.
