Kevin Clifton quits dance school he created with ex-wife Karen following his new romance with Stacey Dooley

THEY tried to stay civil after their three-year marriage broke down last year, but the relationship between Strictly Come Dancing’s Karen Hauer and Kevin Clifton has hit a new low.

I can reveal ballroom expert Kevin has quit his role as  a director of their dance school after two years at the helm.

Karen is distancing herself from Kevin after his romance with Stacey Dooley, according to a source[/caption]

His move leaves fellow pro dancer  Karen in sole  charge of the business.

A source said: “Karen has long been distancing herself from Kevin after his romance with Stacey Dooley went public. She was annoyed at the time because he’d insisted they were just pals. Now that Kevin has left the business as a director, she is free to move on from him professionally.”

The Sun previously revealed how Karen was dropping her married name for the new series of the BBC show after her falling out with Kevin.

It is certainly going to be a little awkward backstage.
