Baker accuses Miley Cyrus of 'image theft' over pro-abortion post
Miley Cyrus has come under fire for “image theft” after allegedly using a baker’s artwork without permission.
Yesterday, the singer announced her partnership with Planned Parenthood and Marc Jacobs using an image of her licking a cake emblazoned with the words: “Abortion is Healthcare”.
The post soon amassed over three million likes with fans taking to the post to thank the 26-year-old for speaking out against the controversial abortion ban.
“Women should have the power over their own bodies. Thanks Miley Cyrus for advocating for us all,” one wrote.
Another social media user added, “Give me a slice of that safe abortion healthcare for everyone who needs it please!”
But baker Becca Rea-Holloway, known as The Sweet Feminist on Instagram, has since called out the singer, accusing her of copyright.

Alongside a side-by-side comparison post, the artist wrote: “It is a direct theft of my own original art work from May 2018, with no credit. It's literally my exact handwriting, message, and concept.”
Cyrus soon spotted the post and quickly vowed to credit the image.
“We saw the image online and didn't realise it was yours," the singer-turned-actress replied. "We will absolutely tag you for your work.This image is not on the Marc Jacobs x Planned Parenthood hoodie we made to raise money and awareness for Planned Parenthood which I know is also close to your heart.”
“It is just on the post and not on the merchandise but we will absolutely tag you and give you the credit for your art,” the singer continued. “If you could please correct your post, as we’re going to make sure you have all the credit you deserve... thanks for sharing your art and inspiring us.”

According to Rea-Holloway, her comment has since been deleted from Cyrus’ post.
Although the artist has since been tagged in the post, there is no mention of the designer’s work in the caption.
“Cake art is for everyone, but this is inexcusable,” Rea-Holloway concluded.
Cyrus has launched a hoodie in collaboration with Marc Jacobs to raise funds for Planned Parenthood, a non-profit organisation which provides sexual health care across the US.
