Ladies’ Teams Update
The weekend beginning Saturday 25th May was a busy time for our teams.
Unfortunately, the Minor Cup Team lost to Blackbush, our Junior Foursomes Team was defeated by Skerries and on Sunday, the Challenge Cup Team lost to Royal Tara. Our thanks to all the ladies who made themselves available for the various panels and to the caddies. Thank you also to the Team Managers Anne Doohan & Joan Corrigan (Minor) MaryLou Grennan & Maria Kerr (Junior Foursomes) Brid Rocks & Mary Dooley (Challenge) for their support and encouragement.
On Saturday last, our Revive Active Fourball Team had a fantastic win over Warrenpoint GC. This was a hard fought match as Warrenpoint had the home advantage with three matches there and two in Dundalk. With the score at 2 matches each, it was all down to the last match in Dundalk, which we won on the 19th! Congratulations to Managers Maureen Sheridan and Joyce Connolly and team members Lady Vice Captain Pauline Campbell & Eve Rowland, Ellen McEneaney & Niamh Maguire, Elaine Ward & Olivia Cunningham, Mary Carthy & Theresa Connolly and Bernie MacGuinness & Mags Coburn.
