Nigerians compare Andy Ruiz Jr to Mr Ibu after defeating Anthony Joshua (photo)

Popular Nigerian comic actor Mr Ibu is currently trending on social media following the recent defeat of Nigerian heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

Recall that Legit.ng previously reported that the boxing star lost his title to Mexican Andy Ruiz after a match that took place on Friday, June 1.

Similarly, it was reported that a number of Nigerians celebrities took to their respective social media pages to offer words of support and encouragement to one of their own.

However, in an unexpected twist of events, Nigerians on social media have now managed to drag Mr Ibu into Anthony’s defeat.

The actor was compared to the Nigerian boxer’s Mexican counterpart, with many suggesting Ruiz has a similar body stature with Mr Ibu.

It was also expressed that the boxer who defeated Joshua was prove that having six packs does not guarantee success in the boxing ring.
