Danny Murphy highlights Liverpool FC’s ‘phenomenal’ midfielder

Danny Murphy has singled out Jordan Henderson as one of Liverpool FC’s key players in recent seasons.

The England midfielder has established himself as one of the first names on the team-sheet for the Reds in recent years following his impressive improvements at Anfield.

The 28-year-old was limited to 21 starts in the Premier League this season for Liverpool FC but made a further 11 appearances from the bench in the top flight to help Jurgen Klopp’s men to finish in second place in the table.

Henderson has been one of the recent success stories at Anfield since Klopp was brought in as the club’s new manager back in October 2015.

And former Liverpool FC midfielder Murphy feels that the England international is one of the Merseyside outfit’s key players at Anfield as things stand.

Speaking in an interview with your-promotional-code.co.uk, Murphy said: “Henderson has been phenomenal over the last few years.

“His fitness and ability to get across the pitch is one of the best in the midfield in the Premier League… he is absolutely physically perfect.”

He added: “If I was playing against Liverpool and I saw that Henderson wasn’t playing, would I be happy? Yes.”

Henderson was part of the England team who reached the World Cup semi-finals in Russia last summer before losing to Croatia.

He will be hoping to help lead the Reds to their first ever Premier League title next season as they bid to go one step further than they did this term and overthrow defending champions Manchester City, who they only finished a point behind.
