With the rapid development of digital technology, digital technology innovation has become a core driver of China’s economic development. Thus, this study uses A-share listed companies from 2003 to 2021 as the research sample. The digital patents of firms are identified to portray the level of digital technology innovation by matching the digital economy industry classification code, national economy industry classification code, and IPC number. Considers the... Читать дальше...

BackgroundRadical cure of Plasmodium vivax infections is key to the control of vivax malaria. However, the standard doses of 8-aminoquinoline drugs used for radical cure can cause severe haemolysis in G6PD-deficient patients. The availability of near-patient G6PD tests could increase use of primaquine (PQ), however direct evidence of the impacts that G6PD testing has on downstream patient outcomes, such as haemolysis and recurrence is lacking.

Cytoplasmic poly(A)-binding protein (PABPC; Pab1 in yeast) is thought to be involved in multiple steps of post-transcriptional control, including translation initiation, translation termination, and mRNA decay. To understand both the direct and indirect roles of PABPC in more detail, we have employed mass spectrometry to assess the abundance of the components of the yeast proteome, as well as RNA-Seq and Ribo-Seq to analyze changes... The relation between electroencephalography (EEG) rhythms, brain functions, and behavioral correlates is well-established. Some physiological mechanisms underlying rhythm generation are understood, enabling the replication of brain rhythms in silico. This offers a pathway to explore connections between neural oscillations and specific neuronal circuits, potentially yielding fundamental insights into the functional properties of brain waves. Information theory frameworks... Читать дальше...

As large, high-dimensional data have become more common, software development is playing an increasingly important role in research across many different fields. This creates a need to adopt software engineering practices in research settings. Code review is the engineering practice of giving and receiving detailed feedback on a computer program. Consistent and continuous examination of the evolution of computer programs by others has been shown to be beneficial, especially... Читать дальше...

Compartmental models provide simple and efficient tools to analyze the relevant transmission processes during an outbreak, to produce short-term forecasts or transmission scenarios, and to assess the impact of vaccination campaigns. However, their calibration is not straightforward, since many factors contribute to the rapid change of the transmission dynamics. For example, there might be changes in the individual awareness, the... Читать дальше...

Spatial transcriptome technology can parse transcriptomic data at the spatial level to detect high-throughput gene expression and preserve information regarding the spatial structure of tissues. Identifying spatial domains, that is identifying regions with similarities in gene expression and histology, is the most basic and critical aspect of spatial transcriptome data analysis. Most current methods identify spatial domains only through a single view... Читать дальше...

The relationship between musical training and intellect is controversial. A new hypothesis may help resolve the debate by proposing an explanation for how training in rhythmic skills can improve cognitive abilities in some individuals, but not others. We learned something, though.
The DS has been part of Zero’s lineup of electric motorcycles since its first year of wide availability in 2010. It has always been, more or less, a taller version of the brand’s standard “S” model. The vibe is more sport touring than adventure touring, which is probably the ideal form factor for anyone with an urban…
