BackgroundWith the evolution of China’s social structure and values, there has been a shift in attitudes towards marriage and fertility, with an increasing number of women holding diverse perspectives on these matters. In order to better comprehend the fundamental reasons behind these attitude changes and to provide a basis for targeted policymaking, this study employs natural language processing techniques to analyze the discourse of Chinese women. BackgroundErectile dysfunction is now a common disorder of sexual function, and its relationship to dietary calcium, phosphorus, and potassium has not been well studied. We set out to determine if dietary intakes of calcium, phosphorus, and potassium are related to erectile dysfunction in U.S. men.
MethodsFor this cross-sectional investigation, we used data from NHANES 2001–2004. To investigate the connection of dietary calcium, phosphorus... Читать дальше...

Although acute stressors are known for stimulating the production of glucocorticoids and pro-inflammatory cytokines in rodents, the effects of chronic stressors on cytokine levels and the activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, especially in response to a subsequent challenge, are less clear. In this study, male and female mice were exposed to 6 weeks of chronic variable stress (CVS) and the peripheral and central levels of IL-1β... Читать дальше...

BackgroundTo properly assess an association between vaccines and specific adverse events requires a comparison between the observed and background rates; however, studies in South Korea are currently limited. Therefore, in this study, we estimated the background incidence of anaphylaxis, myocarditis, pericarditis, Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), and mortality in South Korea.
MethodsA retrospective cohort study was conducted using the National Sample Cohort (NSC) data. Читать дальше...

This study explores the visual phenomenon of random dot structure-from-motion (SFM), where the brain perceives 3D shapes from the coordinated 2D motion of dots. Observing SFM may lead to ambiguous depth relations that reverse back and forth during prolonged viewing. I demonstrate that different processes are involved in triggering perceived reversals for identical SFM shapes involved in spinning and wobbling motion. Durations of stable percepts were measured while human participants viewed the two SFM stimuli... Читать дальше...
