Peninsula cops looking for man who exposed genitals to girls

MILLBRAE — Authorities on Wednesday released a sketch of a suspect in a pair of recent indecent exposure incidents targeting girls in the Millbrae area.

The first incident occurred on the 800 block of Mosswood Lane, near the Green Hills Country Club, about 6:40 p.m. May 5, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

Detective Rosemerry Blankswade said the suspect stopped his silver Toyota across the street from two girls and exposed his genitals to them. He then drove toward the girls, but he left the area without saying anything to them when they ran to alert an adult.

The second incident occurred in a parking lot near Taylor Middle School about 10:40 a.m. Tuesday.

This time, the suspect stood next to his car and masturbated in front of two female students as they walked toward the school, according to the sheriff’s office. He made eye contact with one of the girls, but he did not say anything. The girls ran toward their classrooms, and when one of them looked back, the suspect and the car were gone.

In both incidents, authorities searched for the suspect and his car but did not find either.

Blankswade said sheriff’s detectives believe the two incidents are connected. The suspect was described as a black or Latino man, 20 to 30 years old and 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a slender build. He also had scruffy facial hair around his jawline.

The suspect’s car was further described as a 2005 to 2008 model with tinted rear windows, a trunk lid spoiler and a sunroof.
