The Canadian Supreme is a not-for-profit society whose sole purpose was to manage a major western horse event. The goal was to make a significant contribution to the western horse industry and hopefully break even each year. For over forty years we reached that goal but now the industry is changing and we feel we cannot continue. It is with great sadness that the Canadian Supreme committee announces that it will no longer hold the show in September, effective immediately.
This is an update to the press release that was sent out on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. The Canadian Supreme nominated cutting classes for 2019 will be held at the Calgary Stampede Cutting Horse Futurity, scheduled for October 16 – 20, 2019. The nominated cow horse classes for 2019 will be held at the Alberta Snaffle Bit Futurity scheduled for August 29 – September 1, 2019. The nominated reining classes for 2019 will be held at the Silver Slate Fall Reining Futurity scheduled for October 4 – 6, 2019.
Stallion and yearling nominations that were received in 2018 for the payouts for the 2020 show will receive a full refund. Refunds will be processed the week of May 27, 2019.
