‘Woman beater slapped girlfriend with phone so hard her teeth snapped off’
A convict slapped his girlfriend so hard in the face with her phone her teeth snapped off, police say.
Blake Anthony Chapa, 27, reportedly bludgeoned the woman with the device at the home they shared in Wichita Falls, Texas, on April 20.
The unidentified woman says Chapa turned on her and accused her of cheating after she received a social media message from a man she didn’t know.
She said her partner then snatched her phone and struck her in the mouth with it.
Chapa, who has a 2015 aggravated assault conviction, is alleged to have shoved the gadget with such force that it broke several teeth and left one embedded in her upper lip.
The woman told police that she was standing so close to Chapa, there was no time to try and protect herself from his alleged attack.
Medical records said the woman suffered two cuts to her upper lip, and added that one tooth had been fractured with its pulp exposed.
Some locals claim Chapa posted a photo of his girlfriend’s injuries online afterwards, although police did not confirm whether or not this was the case.
The Times Record News reports Chapa was booked into Wichita County Jail on May 17 accused of assault family violence.
Because of the seriousness of the alleged offense, and his previous conviction, his bail was set at $274,500.
