Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has claimed that the violent politics of the Chand-led outfit had arrived in its final phase.
Speaking to journalists at Biratnagar airport today, Dahal referred to the latest explosions in Kathmandu valley and elsewhere carried out by the outfit and said, “I think this is the end of violent politics of the group.”
“In fact, the bandh and explosions can create the environment for talks, and I reckon the latest bandh and the blasts will and are meant to finally create the environment for talks to join mainstream politics,”
Dahal added. The former prime minister said changes will be made in the Media Council Bill. “As the bill is under consideration in the Parliament, it’s almost sure that it will be passed with some changes,” said Dahal, asking journalists to keep in mind the broad interest of the nation while making news.
The ruling party leader, addressing Morang Trade Association’s 63rd annual assembly here, highlighted the need to protect and promote industries for prosperity of the country.
“Prosperity and changes desired by the people are possible only when we move ahead by addressing the issues of the private sector, which will further encourage foreign investment and help in achieving prosperity of the country as a whole,” said the former prime minister.
