Sunderland fan splits head open diving into Trafalgar Square fountain in just his boxers
A SUNDERLAND fan cracked his head open after diving directly into a Trafalgar Square fountain in just his boxers.
The supporter tried to channel his inner Tom Daley as he launched himself into the water ahead of the Black Cats’ 2-1 play-off final loss against Charlton.
While Sunderland’s players were making their final preparations for the Wembley clash, their supporters were getting their spirits up in the capital.
As the majority of fans enjoyed the sun with a few beverages, one fan could not resist taking a dip.
He stripped down to his underpants, remembering to take off his watch.
Then with a little dance, he made his way to the edge of fountain.
Cheered on and with a slap on the bum, he took the plunge.
BLOOD ON YOUR FACE
It was only when he resurfaced and sat in the fountain that it became clear he did not realise how shallow the water was.
The supporter split his head open, leaving blood pouring down his forehead and nose.
But it was another Sunderland fans who pointed out the injury with the soaked fan seemingly oblivious to his wound.
One person can be heard shouting: “Oh, he’s banged his head.”
Another asked: “Did that hurt?”
Others chanted: “Legend, legend, legend.”
And at the end of the video, someone tells him: “Do it again, do it again.”
