Baseball

Los Gatos High School, the No. 3 seed in the Central Coast Section Open Division playoffs, fell to No. 6 seed San Benito 4-2 last Saturday. The Wildcats finished the season with a 21-8 overall record.

Softball

Los Gatos (20-7), the No. 4 seed in the CCS Division I playoffs, won their first-round game 5-3 against No. 13 Salinas before falling 8-3 to No. 5 San Benito in the quarterfinals. In the first-round win last Wednesday, Amber Kelly was 2 for 2 at the plate with a run scored and an RBI for Los Gatos, which scored three runs in the first inning. Teammate Alexa Wong drove in two runs, and Rosie Gomez and Alaana Panu also drove in runs in the victory.

In the quarterfinal game, Los Gatos tied the game at three in the fourth inning, but San Benito posted three runs in the sixth inning to take control. Mira Sharma slammed a home run and a double, scored two runs and drove in two runs for the Wildcats. Maddie Moore and Wong also had doubles in the loss.

Girls volleyball

The Vision Volleyball Club is offering summer camps for girls of all ages. Participants will receive individual training in volleyball fundamentals and will learn the basics of team play. Space is limited and will be offered in a first-come, first-served basis. Each Camper will receive a camp t-shirt,

The summer camps start on June 3-6 with a Youth Camp (grades 5-8) and Futures Camp (grades 3-4) at Calvary Church in Los Gatos, followed by a Youth Camp at Los Gatos High School on June 10-13. The last camp (grades 5-8) is Aug. 12-15 at Calvary Church. There will be 18 camps in total. The cost is either $245 or $225, depending on the camp.
