EMMERDALE fans rejoiced as paedo Maya Stepney was finally arrested for grooming Jacob Gallagher.
The twisted blonde came face to face with Jacob’s dad and ex boyfriend David Metcalfe tonight.
As he called her a paedophile, she said: “I waited until he was 16 didn’t I? I’m not a pervert David, I love him.”
Then, rather than being ashamed of her actions, she tried to offer David a deal – if he let her go, she’d disappear forever.
She said: “If I get bail, I’ll leave with Jacob and you’ll never see him again.
“Let me go now and you’ll never see me again.”
David replied: “Let you get away with it?”
To which Maya cockily responded: “I already have.”
But David was one step ahead and the police soon arrived and took her away, while a distraught Jacob watched on.
Viewers took to Twitter to comment on the latest turn of events in the on-going grooming storyline.

However their joy could be shortlived, as Maya did her best to convince the cops she was innocent.
David gave the police the audio of Jacob talking to Liv about his relationship with Maya.
But the twisted teacher managed to explain it away as her being Jacob’s fantasy, nothing more.
She then said she had been attacked by Priya, Tracy and Jacob’s mum Leyla, adding more doubt to the credibility of grooming accusations as the police headed off to arrest the trio for assault and kidnap.
