World Beard and Moustache Championships sees fuzzy-faced fanatics go head-to-head
HIRSUTE you sir! These hairy chaps are all hoping for glory in the World Beard and Moustache Championships.
The three day biennial event is taking place in Antwerp Belgium and there are some fine examples of carefully coiffured beards and ‘taches.
The hotly contested competition has three main categories – moustache, partial beard and full beard – which are then divided up into sub-categories.
Even women get the chance to compete too with a Ladies competition where they battle over “Realistic and Creative” expression with artificial facial hair.
The competition was first launched in 2001 and has been held at different locations around the world every two years.
These are masters of their art and there’s no bum fluff here.
