Bafta TV Awards 2019: Danny Dyer sneaks into party to drink champagne despite quitting alcohol
DANNY DYER isn’t messing about when it comes to boozing now he is back on the sauce.
The EastEnders hardman was so parched during the dry three-hour ceremony that he begged organisers to sneak him into the Virgin Media customer viewing party so he could sink a few free glasses of champers.
A source said: “Danny got a bit bored during the awards and persuaded someone to let him into the customer bash, much to the delight of the guests there.
“He knocked back a few free glasses of bubbly before returning to his seat at the show with a spring in his step.
“He enjoyed catching up with industry pals at the after-party too and ditched his seat to work the room. He was on top form.”
Danny, who quit alcohol after taking time out of the BBC soap, hit the bottle at the Tric Awards in March too, where he was snapped downing beer. I wouldn’t expect anything less from the Queen Vic landlord.
