Remember last week when we all laughed at the Starbucks cup straight chilling in front of Daenerys in the post-Battle of Winterfell celebrations scene? Much was made of the oversight, with everyone from HBO to star Emilia Clarke releasing tongue-in-cheek statements about the cup. But that mistake was quaint compared to the supposedly blink-and-you’ll-miss-it flub fans noticed during Sunday night’s fiery battle for King’s Landing.
Twitter was buzzing with reactions to Jaime Lannister’s (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) missing golden glove during an emotional hug with sister/lover Cersei (Lena Headey). Intriguing, especially since he lost his right hand back in season 3. With Smug eagle-eyed fans questioning how the ridiculously expensive production let something like this slip through the cracks: “Now what? Jaime grew his hand ? How do start a petition to reshoot season8?”

We at SheKnows were just as shocked as the rest of ’em, so our intrepid Producer/Editor Kathryn Porter pulled up the episode and rewatched all the Jaime and Cersei scenes with a magnifying glass on two giant screens. Verdict: we can all breathe a sigh of relief, Jaime’s hand is 100% in the episode. The image fans are referencing online must be a promotional photo, which is still worth an eye-roll but at least editors at HBO didn’t miss something this important after making fans wait nearly two years for season 8.
Here’s the moment from the show — Jamie’s hand is gleaming in the fire.
And here’s another look from above. Boom: gold hand!
Here’s a live look at us, waiting for HBO’s quippy tweet to this non-gaffe:
