Trump claims China is dreaming of a ‘Sleepy’ Joe Biden presidency because 2020 hopeful will let Beijing continue ‘ripping off America’
DONALD Trump claims China is dreaming “Sleepy” Joe Biden becomes the next US president – so it can “rip off” America.
He believes his political rival is a soft touch and would lose out in trade deals during any negotiations with Beijing.
“China is DREAMING that Sleepy Joe Biden, or any of the others, gets elected in 2020,” tweeted the commander-in-chief on Sunday night.
“They LOVE ripping off America!” he said.
Trump has blasted the former vice president for being soft on China following the failed US trade talks last week.
He even claimed in one tweet “the reason for the China pullback & attempted renegotiation of the Trade Deal is the sincere HOPE that they will be able to ‘negotiate’ with Joe Biden or one of the very weak Democrats.
“China should not renegotiate deals with the US at the last minute,” Trump said in another post from Friday.
“This is not the Obama Administration, or the Administration of Sleepy Joe, who let China get away with ‘murder!’ ”
Biden – a Democrat candidate for President in the 2020 election – has previously said he believes China is “not competition” for the US.
“China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man,” he said at a campaign rally earlier this month.
“They can’t figure out how they’re going to deal with the corruption that exists within the system,” he added.
“I mean, you know, they’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what? They’re not competition for us.”
On Friday, Trump promised Americans the $200billion tariff hikes on Chinese goods will make them rich.

The President said there was “absolutely no need to rush” trade negotiations as China is now paying billions more into the treasury.
Import taxes on products from 5,700 categories rose from 10 per cent to 25 per cent today.
The two countries are continuing the talks on Friday, which Trump insisted was going ahead in a “very congenial manner”.
