WRESTLING superstar Elias caused anarchy at WWE Liverpool when he pulled on a Man City shirt after the Reds’ bid for Premier League glory had failed.
The bearded titan was performing his own version of a Beatles hit on his trusty six-string when he pulled off the stunt.
Midway through his rendition of the Beatles’ smash hit ‘Yesterday’ the American paused and told the crowd he had to fetch something.
Walking to ringside, he pulled off his shirt and was handed a replica Man City strip emblazoned with ‘WWE – 19′ on the back.
The crowd went into uproar as he pulled it on – heckling the star with furious boos and shouts of anger.
Elias swiftly reminded the masses that they hadn’t heard his version of the song yet before he caused even more outrage with the amended lyrics.
Perched back on his stool in the centre of the ring, he proceeded to sing: “Earlier today, Man City won…”
The remainder of his first line was drowned out by a chorus of boos from the crowd before he went on to infuriate them even more.
Strumming on his guitar with a wry grin on his face he continued: “And now Liverpool have no more games to play.”
He then rounded off with: “Except losing to Spurs three weeks today,” before the arena erupted into chaos with boos hisses and furious shouts drowning the star out.
Man City pipped Liverpool to the Premier League title with a 4-1 win over Brighton finishing on 98 points – just one ahead of Liverpool.
