Days after Attorney General William Barr summarized the findings of the special counsel report for the American public, special counsel Robert Mueller sent him a letter objecting to his characterization of the findings. But during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Barr refused to acknowledge Mueller’s complaints, which claimed Barr’s summary did not “fully capture the context, nature and substance” of the Mueller report. Instead, Barr tried to spin Mueller's position, claiming Mueller took issue with the media’s misrepresentation of the findings.
