Hulu just dropped the teaser trailer to the fourth season of Veronica Mars. Herein, we find ourselves fully involved once more in the adventures of detective Veronica Mars, played by actress Kristin Bell (Bad Moms & Forgetting Sarah Marshall) as she sets out to uncover the culprits behind a series of crimes. The new TV miniseries centers on the earlier teen noir drama television series and involves performances by other notable actors such as Frank Gallegos (Logan).
The mystery drama Veronica Mars first aired back in 2004 under an extension of CW network, UPN. The show ran for three seasons and garnered 2.49 million American viewers in its season premiere. The series was nominated for multiple awards which include five Teen Choice Awards and two Satellite Awards. Following the show's cancellation, series lead Kirstin Bell and show creator Rob Thomas initiated a fundraising campaign to finance a scripted feature film based on the show. The latter resulted in a total of $2 million dollars within eleven hours of the Kickstarter campaign's launch. The film was released in 2013.
Most recently, Hulu announced they would be reviving the show for a fourth season via an eight-episode limited series scheduled to be released in full on July 26th, 2019.
