Watch Attorney General Barr's Mueller report testimony

After a lot of Democratic prodding, Attorney General William Barr is scheduled appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee at 10 a.m. ET Wednesday to testify about Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report. He'll follow that up with a House Judiciary Committee hearing Thursday at 9 a.m. ET.

Democrats have spent the past few weeks pushing Barr to release an unredacted version of the Mueller report, with House members even issuing a subpoena for it two weeks ago. Still, Barr hasn't yet issued the full report, and reportedly even threatened to skip his House testimony on Thursday because he was unhappy that both parties' committee counsels will get to ask him 30 minutes of additional questions. A Justice Department spokesperson said Barr would be "happy" to answer questions directly from congressmembers, so it's unclear if his alleged threat still stands.

Over on the Senate front, though, it seems pretty certain that Barr is going to show up. He released an opening statement ahead of Thursday's testimony, doubling down on the redactions he made to the full report and again stating that he didn't find enough evidence "to establish that the president committed an obstruction-of-justice offense."
