IT’S time to vote for April’s Stobart Jockey Of The Month!
Davy Russell, Richard Johnson and Sean Quinlan are the final three and hoping to win your vote to secure them the prize.
Last Saturday, Johnson was crowned Stobart Champion Jump Jockey for the fourth consecutive season at the bet365 Jump Finale at Sandown Park.
A day earlier, he claimed his 200th victory of the campaign with Load Up Time at Perth Racecourse, resulting in him reaching the double-century mark for only the second time in his illustrious career.
Cumbria-based, Quinlan, enjoyed a successful April with nine victories in total. One of those being the biggest of his career, aboard Takingrisks in the Coral Scottish Grand National, taking his total for the season to 61 victories – surpassing his previous career best total of 38.
And who could forget, Davy Russell storming to a second successive victory with Tiger Roll in the Randox Health Grand National at the start of the month – entering the history books as the first to do so since the legendary Red Rum in 1973 and 1974.
There is a total of £2000 in prize money up for grabs for the jockeys with the winner receiving £1000 (and £500 to a charity of their choice) and both second and third place receiving £500 each.
